DISCOVERING NATURE WHILE AT CONSTANCE: ARE YOU UP FOR A TRAIL ADVENTURE?
Will you be visiting us soon? Not only do we offer wining & dining, spa treatments and luxurious rooms, we are also incredibly lucky to be surrounded by some of the most incredible tropical scenes by the Indian Ocean. From beachside strolls to dining experiences on the water, you get to experience the closeness of nature at Constance Hotels and Resorts.
Some of the most exciting places to view nature can be found with a short drive close to our hotels. There are several nature trails that surround us. These incredible features of nature can be found in the Islands of Mauritius, Seychelles, Zanzibar and Madagascar
If you find yourself staying at one of our hotels then make sure to open yourself up to an adventure!
Seychelles
At Constance Ephelia Seychelles, we were delighted to sponsor the opening of a boardwalk in the district of Port Glaud. Now we offer our guests guided walks to the Sauzier waterfall going through the mangrove boardwalk.
Sauzier Waterfall
The Sauzier waterfall is one of the closest nature sites next to our resort. Guests can either visit alone or we can provide guided tours! It’s a beautiful waterfall and we highly recommend the trip!
Mission Lodge
The Mission Lodge is perhaps the most famous vantage point in all of Seychelles. Offering spectacular sea and mountain views looking southward across Mahé, from the shaded and peaceful confines of a gazebo where Queen Elizabeth II once sat for tea! Mission lodge is about 10 minutes’ drive from the hotel so you can be back just in time for dinner 😉
Anse Major
One of the most beautiful trails is the Anse Major. It’s an easy walk and it takes around an hour and a half. You’ll have the chance to witness some amazing rock formations along the way. Unfortunately, you cannot drive to the top of Anse Major so you’ll need your best pair of walking shoes to get to the top!
Morne Blanc
This walk is a little more challenging than others but is definitely worth it! The hike takes around 45 minutes and you’ll get to take in some of the beautiful surroundings.
Make sure you come prepared as the walk has lots of twists and turns and can be quite steep. Bring plenty of water! This is a lovely way to spend a morning and return to the spa for a relaxing massage afterwards 😉
Mauritius
If you are staying with us in the tropical Island of Mauritius (Constance Belle Mare Plage or Constance Prince Maurice) then why not take the car out and try some of these beautiful nature hikes?
Macchabee
The Macchabee Trail is an easy and accessible hike so perfect for walkers who are beginners.
The Macchabee Trail provides a quick and easy hike through this wild region of pitching hills and thick forest. The trail runs from Le Pétrin Information Centre to the Black River Visitors Centre via the picturesque Macchabee Viewpoint – the perfect place to get an Instagram shot! 😀
Le Pouce
Le Pouce, or also known as The Thumb, so named because of its thumb-shaped peak – is the third highest mountain in Mauritius!
It’s quite nearby our hotel and situated in the capital, Port Louis. The tip of Le Pouce offers incredible scenes and views, particularly looking out on to the Moka range. The Moka Range is a uniquely shaped rock formation at the summit which resembles a human head.
Madagascar
If you’re staying at Constance Tsarabanjina, make sure to take full advantage of our beautiful island and the sceneries surrounding it. Our team will serve as guide on a long walk around the island. A full panoramic view of Tsarabanjina and the Mitsio Archipelago can be enjoyed from the top of the hills. Sounds dreamy? That’s because it is. 😉
Ready to discover the beauty of our islands? Why not book a stay with us! We will be sure to tell you all about the nature that surrounds us and guide you on the best ways to truly experience this tropical paradise.
